Membership Information

The Association for Metal Additive Manufacturing operates as a trade association within the Metal Powder Industries Federation, an incorporated 501 (c) (6) trade organization. It shares with affiliated associations the economies and other advantages of joint administration. While the Association for Metal Additive Manufacturing is governed by its members in accordance with its bylaws, it is subject to the policies and regulations of the Federation. Membership is on a company, "corporate" basis.

Acceptance for corporate, voting membership in the Association for Metal Additive Manufacturing constitutes membership in the Metal Powder Industries Federation.

Eligibility

Eligibility for corporate membership in the Association for Metal Additive Manufacturing shall ultimately be determined by the Executive Director of the Federation in accordance with the applicable bylaws of the Association.

Any firm, or corporation (or division thereof) is eligible for corporate, voting membership in the Association for Metal Additive Manufacturing if it is commercially engaged in the production of metal AM products, or is a material supplier to producers of metal AM products, or is an equipment supplier/service provider, i.e. feeder systems, AM build machines, sintering, isostatic processing, to producers of metal AM products.

Membership Dues and Representation 

For US federal income tax purposes, all membership fees may be deducted as a business expense but are not
deductible as a charitable contribution. There are no initiation fees. Dues are based on annual open-market sales volume of PM parts in broad, non-disclosing classes. A current budget for the Association for Metal Additive Manufacturing is available on request. 

Each member company must appoint an individual to serve as its Official Representative who will be authorized to represent, vote and act for the member in the affairs of the Association for Metal Additive Manufacturing and the Federation. This does not preclude other individuals from the same company from participating, including the holding of office.

The member company may also designate any number of additional individuals to serve as Alternate Official
Representatives.

For all matters affecting the Association or the Federation, the member company shall be entitled to cast one vote.
